Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of ConvertChess. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use ConvertChess.

The service

ConvertChess is an endgame chess training app: arcade-style training modes, and (for signed-in users) analysis of your linked Chess.com/Lichess game history to identify recurring endgame weaknesses. Free and Premium tiers are described on the pricing page.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it. You must be old enough to use online services in your country, and you must provide an accurate email address.

Subscriptions and billing

• Premium is billed monthly or yearly, as shown at checkout. New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial — cancel before it ends and you won't be charged.
• Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record. Your payment details are held by them, not by us.
• You can cancel anytime from Account. You keep Premium access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
• We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Automate, scrape, or script interactions with ConvertChess outside normal use.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, quotas, or the free/Premium boundary.
• Interfere with leaderboards through manipulated or automated scores.
• Use the service to harm, abuse, or impersonate others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this.

Game data

Chess.com and Lichess game data we analyze on your behalf is already public on those platforms. Linking an account or entering a username to analyze it means you're asking us to fetch and process that public data for you.

No guarantees

ConvertChess is provided "as is." Engine analysis, diagnoses, and training content are aids for improvement, not a guarantee of rating gains or infallible chess advice. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, ConvertChess isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Account — this is immediate and permanent. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
